Slow/No Wake To Be Lifted For Lakes Mendota and Waubesa, Effective at Noon Friday

MADISON – Dane County will lift the Slow/No Wake orders for Lake Mendota and Lake Waubesa at Noon on Friday, November 2nd. 

 

Lakes Mendota and Waubesa had been placed under a Slow/No Wake order following heavy rains in late summer.

 

Due to high water levels, a Slow/No Wake order remains in effect for Lake Monona and Lake Kegonsa.

 

Boaters are reminded that all of the lakes in the Yahara Chain of Lakes have permanent, year-round 200-feet from shore Slow/No Wake restrictions.

 

In addition, navigational and hazard buoys have been removed from all lakes for the winter, please use caution when using waterways.
