County Snowmobile Trails Open in the Northwest Regions of Dane County

County Snowmobile Trails

The snowmobile trails in the Northwest Regions of Dane County are now open. The NW Region is bordered by the county line and the Wisconsin River on the West, Highways 18/151 on the South (including the Military Ridge State Trail), and Highway 12 on the East. https://www.countyofdane.com/lwrd/parks/pdf/SnowmobileTrailMap_2015_2016.pdf.              

The NW Region received enough snow that combined with the original trail base will provide riding opportunities for the next couple of days.  The forecast for later this week includes temperatures in the mid to upper forties.

 

County Cross-Country Ski Trails and Winter Recreation Areas

Indian Lake and Token Creek County Parks cross county ski trails are currently groomed and in good condition, other locations will be groomed as conditions permit.
