Vehicles Stolen From Bar Parking Lot

Two vehicles were stolen from the parking lot of the Utica Bar on CTH W in the town of Christiana last night. A third unlocked car had been rummaged through, but nothing was taken.

 

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call at 10:07 pm. The suspects stole a 2008 Infiniti G35X and a 2013 Ford Escape. One of the vehicles was left running in the parking lot, while the other vehicle’s key fob was left inside.

It’s believed at least four suspects arrived at the bar in a silver SUV, possibly a Jeep, and left going north on CTH W. Deputies are reviewing video footage from the bar to obtain more information on the suspects.

“It’s tempting to warm up a vehicle before you leave this time of year, but we want to warn citizens that unless they can lock their vehicle while it runs, they are taking their chances,” said Sheriff Kalvin Barrett.

Locking your vehicle and keeping the keys on you is your best defense against car thieves. Removing valuables will also help deter theft. Anyone with more information on this crime is asked to call our Dane County tip line at 608-284-6900.
