The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a tragic murder/suicide attempt that occurred in the early morning hours of April 4th.

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home on CTH TT in the town of Medina to find an elderly couple in medical distress. Both were transported to a local hospital, where the man died on Friday, April 7th. An autopsy has been performed by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office and their investigation into the cause and manner of death continues.

Silvia U. Hegge was released from the hospital on Saturday, April 8th and was booked into the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of Attempted Homicide
