Town of Medina Fatality Crash

Just before 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 21, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on State Highway (STH) 19 and County Highway (CTH) TT in the town of Medina.

A preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle traveling westbound on STH 19 was attempting to turn south on CTH TT when that vehicle was rear ended. That collision pushed the first vehicle into the eastbound lane of STH 19, where it was struck again by a third vehicle.

The driver and passenger in the first vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene. The other two drivers were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office crash reconstruction team, along with detectives are continuing to investigate the crash. The identity of the deceased will be release by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
