Armed Robbery

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an Armed Robbery that occurred at approximately 2:00 this morning on eastbound US HWY 12 at the CTH N off-ramp in the Town of Cottage Grove.

The male and female adult victims reported they had been exiting US HWY 12 via the off-ramp to southbound CTH N, when a dark colored sedan maneuvered in front of them, forcing the victim vehicle to stop. Two individuals described as males in their 20’s exited the vehicle armed with handguns, approached the victim vehicle and demanded money. The suspects then left in the dark colored sedan (no known make/model) and went west on US HWY 12. No one was injured during this incident and there is currently no one in custody.
