Sheriff Kalvin Barrett is pleased to lead the Dane County Sheriff’s Office award ceremony on Friday, June 3. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the ceremony has not taken place in two years. The event recognizes both citizens and Sheriff’s Office staff for their outstanding service to the community.

This year’s ceremony is being held at the American Family Training Center, located at 6000 American Family Drive at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 3. Nearly 70 individuals are being recognized for their actions. Categories of awards include Citizen Awards, Exceptional Service Commendations, Lifesaving Awards and Pillars of Excellence. The recipients are nominated throughout the year and ultimately voted on by a committee of their peers.
