Deceased Dogs Found Near Ice Age Trail

On Wednesday, May 11 at approximately 11:30 am, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies and Animal Services responded to Raymond Road and Oak View Drive in the town of Verona, where a passerby had discovered the bodies of two dogs in garbage bags. The area where the disturbing discovery was made is to the side of the Ice Age Trail.

The dogs appear to be adult Pit Bulls, one is a brown and white male and the other is a gray and white female. They were not tagged or chipped for identification. Although it is unclear if a crime has been committed, the Sheriff’s Office would encourage anyone with information to call our tip line at (608) 284-6900.
