The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial burglary at a BP Gas Station, located at 109 N. Main Street in the Village of Deerfield.

Deputies responded to an alarm at the business at about 4:20 am. An employee had just arrived for work and found the front door shattered. The thieves took cartons of cigarettes valued at about $2500. The suspects were in a white SUV, possibly stolen.

Sheriff’s Detectives are working with other municipal agencies to determine if this burglary is connected to additional gas station burglaries that occurred overnight. Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to call the Dane County Sheriff’s Office tip line at (608) 284-6900.
