New Dog Park Now Open at Anderson Farm County Park - This is Dane County Parks’ 8th Dog Park

Dane County Parks is excited to announce the completion of a new dog park at Anderson Farm County Park, located in the Town of Oregon. The 35-acre dog park includes perimeter fencing with a separate small dog area, limestone hiking trails through restored prairie, two paved parking lots with electric vehicle charging stations, a stormwater basin, restrooms, and an edible orchard. A new paved trail also connects the new dog park with the existing Arthur Sholts Memorial Woods and the Village of Oregon at South Main Street. The dog park is located at 804 Union Rd, just north of Hwy A.
“We are excited to open a new dog park at Anderson Farm County Park,” said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi. “We continue to invest in and add new features to Dane County’s parks so they can be enjoyed for many years to come. This new dog park will provide visitors and their furry friends a new location to exercise and take in the outdoors.”
“Anderson Farm County Park’s new dog park is the 8th off-leash dog recreation area to open in Dane County Parks,” said Interim Parks Director Joleen Stinson. “This newest dog park is the third largest dog park in our system and makes a total of 264 acres where dogs and their owners can make friends and be active.”
A permit is required in order to bring your dog to a dog park within the Cooperative Dog Park Program which includes: Dane County Parks, City of Madison Parks, City of Sun Prairie Parks and City of Middleton Parks. To purchase a permit visit www.reservedane.com.
