Larger, mainline Airbus equipment scheduled for daily mid-day departures

MADISON, WI – The Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) is pleased to announce that American Airlines has upgraded equipment on its busy mid-day flight to Dallas-Fort Worth. A strong passenger demand continues to drive flight service upgrades, changes, and additional capacity.

"The commitment travelers have to visit south-central Wisconsin has a significant economic impact on the Dane County region," said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi. "Enhancements like this help ensure that our passengers have a relaxing and enjoyable experience in every part of their journey."

Beginning on September 9th, the 1:30* p.m. departure from Madison to Dallas-Fort Worth will feature Airbus A319 equipment configured with 128 seats in 3 cabins. This aircraft replaces the Embraer E175 -- 76 seat aircraft.

"We are extremely pleased that American has decided to upgrade flight options for our customers traveling to and from Madison," said Airport Director Kim Jones. "Continued support from our local and regional passengers will help fuel future upgrades and growth of our airport."

Larger, mainline equipment will offer south central Wisconsin travelers wider seats, wider aisles, larger overhead bins, onboard Wi-Fi, and convenient one-stop service to almost 250 destinations worldwide beyond Dallas-Fort Worth.

The Dane County Regional Airport provides seamless, low-stress, and affordable options for both leisure and business travelers with more than 100 daily arrivals and departures. With nineteen non-stop destinations, DCRA provides one-stop access to nearly every worldwide destination.
